Processing

Most lenders prefer that you switch over to their preferred Merchant Processor which usually offers next day funding and competitive rates with your current processing.  The reason they switch the processing is because the lender funds the merchant through your credit card processing machine, and they get paid back through it as well.  This is called split processing.

When the merchant batches out, the money is processed through the processor, the lender takes his percentage, and the remaining percentage goes to the merchant’s bank account.  This is the fastest way for the merchant to obtain funding, and the fastest for his batches to hit his bank account.  There are also other methods of funding which some lenders are willing to do depending on individual cases including Automated Clearing House (ACH) and Lockbox methods.
